“Systemic racial discrimination extends beyond any expression of individual hatred. It results from bias in multiple systems and institutions of public policy, which separately and together perpetuate and reinforce barriers to equality.”
~ UN Human Rights Chief, Michelle Bachlet
We are dedicated to helping undo ingrained systematic and structural practices and policies that reinforce patterns of power. We work together with institutions to challenge and reform the structures and processes that generate and reinforce racialized poverty and inequality.
We envision a fair, just, open and inclusive global community where equitable access to opportunities for people of colour in and from the global south is possible especially at the top levels of society and decision-making processes.
We believe every society can work towards achieving racial equality through embracing diversity, equity and inclusion.
The decolonial project is GSTF’s inaugural project. It is particularly designed to work towards continually creating and implementing strategies for decolonising systems of power such as knowledge, institutions and the law. By “decolonising” we mean the un-learning of ideas, un-doing of methods and practices that originate from colonial mentalities and racial hierarchies.
Through facilitating the critical rethinking, deconstruction and re-contextualization of discourses connected with societies in and from the global south, the project aims at un-doing, piece by piece, some structural and systematics aspects which are detrimental to the promotion of racial equality.

We are currently setting up some new projects so ensure to check back often to see all the work we are doing to fight injustice.
There are 179 people on the management or executive boards of Germany’s 29 Fortune Global 500 companies. Just two of them are not white—both hailing from South Asia—and none is black.
The COVID vaccination rate for white people in the US is 1.6 times greater than that for Black people and 1.7 times higher than that for Hispanic people. The trend is similar for ethnic minorities in the UK, but for Germany there is no data! This data gap makes it difficult to identify inequalities ― and even harder to tackle them.
As a think-and-do tank, we deliver and implement research-based as well as practical strategies for promoting racial equity. The research related strategies include providing independent evidence-based analysis and policy advice while the practical strategies include institutional consultancy service and training.
Our focus falls under two initial clusters:
These pillars enable the targeted implementation of strategies which will help institutions that do not wish to remain complicit in creating and shaping ideas and structures which negatively impact people or colour thereby reinforcing racial inequalities.
